

Engineers and scientists are currently collaborating to develop alternative, green technologies for transportation.
Advanced Academy II is a laboratory program giving students the opportunity to develop a thorough, working knowledge of unique energy sources which hold promise for this century.
Involves the use of College Engineering Energy Laboratory and includes Analysis and Development of Solar and Fuel Cell Technology.
Experienced engineers will provide course instruction, with support from industry professionals, college faculty and students. Problem-solving techniques and hands-on laboratory projects will be taught concurrently to reinforce students’ understanding and learning.
All the 9th grade students and all the Advanced I students who completed the 2007 Summer Academy are eligible for this program. In addition, selected 9th and 10th grade students will be admitted. Only the new 9th and 10th grade students will require a recommendation from their math or science teacher.
The single session will be three weeks in length, and will be for three hours, starting at either 9AM or 1 PM, Monday through Friday. The class will be limited to 25 students.
